We take extreme ownership of our work and are goal oriented as we move the company towards our mission of being the most admired home improvement brand in the U.S. As the Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for performing various finance and accounting tasks, including account reconciliations. As an Accounting Analyst, you will report to the Financial Controller.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures including transfers, costing and physical inventory reconciliations
- Works in close coordination with Procurement and Purchasing
- Help develop improved inventory management policies and procedures
- Monitors and maintains inventory, ensuring data is entered and accurate
- Measure inventory transaction integrity and/or accuracy while providing feedback to the Operations and Procurement
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and notify the appropriate parties
- Conduct detailed inventory audits in conjunction with Warehouse Managers and Inventory Manager
- Complete miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting around financial inventory management
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry and generating procedures
- Perform various accounting functions
- Participate in closing accounting books monthly; perform applicable journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
Minimum Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in applicable field preferred)
- Detail oriented
- Driven, motivated, self-starter
- Comfortable in a fast pace and dynamic office environment
- Able to work in complex and growing work environments
- Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-energy, and highly team-oriented environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
- Prior experience in the construction industry preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
