KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be a key liaison between West Shore Home and the local community in our markets nationwide. You will identify, develop, and implement community outreach opportunities that are in line with our brand and values. This will require you to learn and be familiar with our core values and how they each play into our larger mission and vision. In this capacity, you will work closely with all General Managers at West Shore Home to aid them in developing opportunities for community relations, both internally and externally. You will be integral in strategy development and execution at the branch level to strengthen and develop the West Shore Home brand in our local markets.
You will monitor the local news closely to understand the needs of each community, including any natural disasters, emergencies, or unforeseen events. This will allow West Shore Home to act when needed to help community members in our local markets. It is important that you develop community engagement plans for West Shore Home employees at the local level across all branches. We must maintain a strong relationship with our communities and showcase our dedication to helping the communities we service every day. You will be an instrumental part in this messaging and the development of the relationship between the local branch and the local community.
As the Community Relations Administrator, you will work closely with the internal communications team to deliver effective messaging regarding community engagement plans. The successful delivery of the plans is critical to ensure our employees understand the importance of community outreach. You will also support the Director of Public Relations in promoting community relations events. This helps to showcase our community relations initiatives to both our employees and the public. You will be assigned other duties, as necessary, to support the Director of Public Relations with daily administrative tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Non-Exempt role, with standard hours being from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Must be able to sit and use office equipment (computer, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.
- Occasional travel required, less than 10%.
MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- College degree preferred.
- Community relations, event planning, and administrative experience requested.
- Strong organizational and communications skills.
