As the Internal Recruiting Specialist, you will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition. You will work with all other departments within the company to promote their open positions internally while also tracking their top performers and their progress toward taking the next steps in their career with West Shore Home.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
As the Internal Recruiting Specialist, you will be the instrumental in filling open requisitions with candidates who are currently employed with West Shore Home. It is your responsibility to ensure all open requisitions are posted to Workplace with clear instructions on how the appropriate candidates should apply for the role. If additional promotion is deemed necessary, you will work with the Communications Team to develop digital and physical materials to ensure the proper internal audience is reached. Upon receipt of application, you will screen all internal applicants for minimum qualifications for the role applied for. Should a candidate meet the minimum role requirements, you will then set up in-person or virtual interviews between the candidate and hiring manager. Any subsequent interviews will be scheduled and tracked by you, as well. All communication and interviews must be accurately documented in Salesforce. If an offer is to be made to an internal candidate, you will work with the hiring manager on offer terms then deliver the offer letter to the candidate. It is essential that you communicate effectively with Human Resources and all other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from position to position or department to department. You will develop strong working relationships with department heads, General Managers, and front-line managers across the business to understand the talent pools on their teams as well as their future staffing needs. Effective communication of internal candidates and their progress with the recruiting team is also a must.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
As the Internal Recruiting Specialist, you own the internal pipeline for all open requisitions in the business. You must be relentless in your quest to reach all employees with new open requisitions and to have knowledge of talent pipelines in all departments while working to continually improve the process for recruiting and the candidates alike. You must always do the right thing in accordance with our core ideology at West Shore Home. You must work to get better every single day and work tirelessly to be great at everything you do, while never settling in your quest to ensure all of our teammates are afforded a new opportunity. You must also be an exceptional teammate to all departments and branch locations by understanding their talent pools and their future staffing needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Exempt role with standard hours being from 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- May require travel less than 10% of the year.
- Must be able to sit and use office equipment (computer, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.
MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Two plus years of experience as a corporate recruiter or commensurate experience with West Shore Home
- Ability to think strategically about sourcing candidates internally
- Strong desire to help develop talent pipelines within the business
- Enthusiasm to be a strong, internal brand ambassador
- Ability to think creatively about how to reach new internal audiences
