As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Payroll team at our Corporate HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by providing guidance and support to equip our teams for success.
As a Payroll Specialist at West Shore Home®, you will contribute to this mission by ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees. You will report directly to the Payroll Manager and work closely with your team of payroll professionals, as well as the HR and Accounting departments.
What You’ll Contribute
In this role, you can expect to:
- Audits new hire tax forms and follows up with employees for missing information
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll report for the Payroll Manager and submit for approval to senior leadership
- Collect and review all bonus and commission submissions and add to payroll for processing
- Resolve payroll errors timely, following Company policies and procedures, and ensure proper documentation for payroll changes and corrections are obtained and filed.
- Document all payroll processes and train the management team on accurate timecard approvals
- Ensure all pay raises and adjustments are entered into Paycom and effective dating works properly
- Communicate with managers regarding the status of timecard approvals, PTO approvals, and Holiday procedures
- Test and program required paid holidays and other paid codes
What It Takes to Succeed

- Experience of Payroll analytical experience but proven technical ability to provide application system support
- Experience with reporting tools
- Well-versed knowledge in payroll taxes at federal, state, and local levels
- Strong understanding of payroll data elements and how they interact
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, as well as HRIS software preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree and Payroll certification preferred
